Summary

Enersponse is looking for a Product Owner, who is able to represent the stakeholders who are not in the room!

  • Fantastic communicator. You know how to articulate your reasons for or against critical decisions and are capable of disagreeing and committing. You equally enjoy giving feedback and receiving advice for both soft and hard skills.

  • Self-starter. You’re able to handle ambiguity, anticipate problems, and don’t need to be handed the whole picture to get started and are able to find the person or process to get to an outcome.

  • Pragmatic. You understand that most decisions aren’t binary and require an understanding of the trade-offs. Similarly, you do your best to try to see things from other people’s point of view.

Compensation: Full-time salary.

Responsibilities

●      Define and curate product requirements for new and existing features, determining the most impactful ideas to pursue in alignment with the company vision.

●      Analyze market trends and competitor data to position our products/features ahead of industry standards. Proactively solicit and integrate customer feedback to refine products and processes.

●      Collaborate closely with Agile teams, stakeholders, and other internal partners to ensure timely delivery of company objectives while always advocating for the customers' best interests and navigating stakeholder-defined constraints.

●      Lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless product launches. Continuously monitor product performance and actively oversee its entire lifecycle within an Agile Scrum system.

●      Champion and advocate for the product and the teams working on it, ensuring alignment and motivation.

Required Education & Experience:

While experience is important, a genuine passion for product ownership in the climate and energy sectors is highly valued.

●      Minimum of 4 years in product management or a closely related field.

●      Familiarity with USA electricity markets such as CAISO, PJM, ERCOT, NYISO, and ISONE. Deep expertise isn't mandatory, but a clear understanding of their implications is crucial.

●      A proven track record of successfully taking products from concept to market, with keen interest and knowledge in the energy domain.

●      Outstanding ability to establish impactful and trust-based relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

●      Demonstrated experience in managing product development cycles, reporting progress, and tracking milestones.

●      Knowledge in the parallel development of integrated software and hardware systems, including requirements development, concurrent design, and system-level V&V.

●      Preference for candidates experienced with distributed cloud computing systems, especially Amazon Web Services.

●      Familiarity with the technicalities of the product development lifecycle from a product owner/manager perspective, encompassing requirements gathering, software architecture comprehension, testing, and V&V processes.

●      Past achievements in product development, evidenced by successful product launches or patent filings, either individually or as part of a team.
