Position Description

Department: Sales

Accountable To: Director of Sales

Summary: Enersponse is looking for a Mid-Market Account Executive to join this exciting new start-up. As an

Account Executive you will drive new business through your prospecting, collaboration with our

many partners and closing capabilities. As a member of our team, you will manage the entire sales

lifecycle from initial touch to close. You will be part of a rapidly growing team that has a high desire

to Win and does so through collaboration, innovation and Moxy. Oh, and a bit of fun!

Compensation: Full-time salary. $75,000 - $95,000

Location: Remote

Responsibilities: 

  • Create a sales business plan that includes customer driven sales strategy as well as utility rep and Contractor/Partner referrals

  • Drive a meeting plan of 10+ new customers a week with Inside Sales and a personal calling plan

  • Create and maintain sales pipeline of Commercial and Industrial customers that is 3-4x your sales quota

  • Interface with customers, sales partner personnel, including executive officers, energy and sustainability managers, operations and/or facility managers and their staff.

  • Qualify potential customer participation and ability to move forward with program enrollment based on buying criteria

  • Gather energy end use information for customers and build an energy curtailment strategy

  • Manage, adjust, and follow up on multiple projects in various stages of workflow

  • Manage sales activities and forecasts through Salesforce CRM

  • Achieve or exceed assigned monthly and annual sales goals and objectives. Includes keeping all your opportunities and forecast current.

  • Drive and manage those pipeline opportunities through the sales cycle and maintain current forecast

  • Understand customer requirements as it relates to their energy initiatives, present value-based solutions and options that address long term goals

  • Use and develop subject matter expertise on key vertical markets to drive sales and gain credibility with additional referral-based sales

  • Educate and collaborate with the customers and/or sales partners to identify the optimal energy program/solution mix to fit the unique business conditions presented while achieving Enersponse revenue and margin objectives.

  • Get to the decision maker, sell, and enroll them in applicable program

  • Adapt work style and approach to evolving market conditions. Follow and deliver sales in a structured account-based selling process

  • Collaborates with operations to ensure handoff and timely enrollment in contracted programs.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Experience working within Demand Response

  • Experience and strong network within growing, mission critical, power intensive industries

  • Demonstrated development and implementation of energy/power related solutions with key customers and partners within target industries

  • Excellent written and verbal communication (internally and externally)

  • Strong listening skills

  • Advanced presentation development and delivery skills

  • Strong sense of urgency regarding addressing customer related issues

  • High adaptability and understanding of change within the evolution of a startup

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience working in any of the North American deregulated power markets (PJM, NE-ISO, NYISO, ERCOT, MISO, SPP, and CAISO) is a plus

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
