Business Sales Representative

Enersponse is a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Management company, bringing Grid Operators and Utilities together with power consumers of all sizes.  We bring grid service programs, such as Demand Response, Demand Management, Peak Shaving, Energy Hedging, Energy Efficiency, and Auto-DR to customers that require a more sophisticated approach through building automation.

This team member can work remotely anywhere.

Our team focuses primarily on selling demand response, energy management services, energy efficiency, Automated Demand Response (ADR) services, and other DER monetization solutions to commercial, industrial and institutional customers that have multi-state and multi-market operations. Enersponse executives identify opportunities through multiple channels, cultivating and maintaining relationships with the end-use commercial/institutional/industrial facility personnel, energy brokers and consultants, providers of energy efficiency, automation and distributed energy solutions.

 Responsibilities and Duties

  • Schedule and complete weekly prospecting activities to include cold calling and tele-prospecting, emailing, LinkedIn and Social media connections with key decision makers

  • Create, manage, and exceed personal sales goals regularly by participating in team role playing and skill development sessions

  • Educate customers on how our programs can benefit them financially and assist with grid stability

  • Achieve annual sales targets and average weekly meeting quotas on a consistent basis

  • Collaborate with marketing department to identify new business opportunities through research and networking

  • Developing and qualifying leads within respective territory to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns

  • Maintain and update reports of sales activities, calls, meetings, contracts, sales, lost business in company CRM

  • Leverage world class tools like Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Scratchpad, and more to generate in-bound leads

  • You’re inquisitive, you know how to ask the right question to get to the root of a problem

  • You are confident, target and task driven as well as having a track record of good communication and customer service

  • You can capture your targets attention quickly to inspire interest additional meetings to ID opportunity at their site

Required Experience

  • 1-2 years of sales/business development

    • Cold calling: 1 year

  • Outbound prospecting experience

  • Positive attitude with a passion for a career in sales

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Maintains focus on daily objectives and effectively set priorities.

  • Achievement-oriented and passionate about their work

Education & Experience

  • BA, BS or some college level coursework preferred.
